I have the Men's 2140 and the toebox is huge. I will also comment that these shoes run large. My NB trail runners are a 12. My Vasque Switchback hiking boots are a 12. My Timberland casual boots are a 12. All of these fit just right. The Asics 2140s are a 12 and they have a ton of excess room in the front. My feet don't slide in them though so I presume they are still the right size. I have never taken an 11.5 in any brand or model shoe so it would be quite odd if I needed to drop a size for this shoe. I just got them so I have yet to determine anything else about them, other than the large fit.

I am not sure if the women’s last design is cut completely differently as I have to disagree with kate. I can feel my toes pushing into the sides at an angle like the stability/motion control part of the shoe keeps you at an angle to prevent overpronating. It's like you're walking on the sides of your feet like a person who supanates...However, they are sturdy when running. My plantar fasicitis doesn't start hurting until the end of my run compared to all the way through... They are snug too no slipping on the foot. The ankle has extra padding too which makes motion control feel better.

The toe box is too small. Very light and comfortable,no more aching feet and knees after a long day. Im a first time Asics buyer and it definately wont be my last time.If you have flat feet, pronate or have pain in the heel, you should really give these a try.... im glad i did.

These are by far the best running shoes i have ever had.
