Brian, Thank you for your contributions, worth reading! I am always on the lookout for new ideas/advice regards running. My circumstance: 6ft. 4 inch, 200 lb. bundle of joy, well, bundle anyway! Wearing “Marithotics” to avoid splint and spurs, slight supination, running, albeit ever so slowly, 22-28 miles per week. Presently wearing the Gel Cumulous which is OK. Would you have other ideas? Tried Adrenilines, wore out quickly. Oh, size 14. Thanks, Chuck Miller.
Hey there Chuck!
My opinion always is to find a good shoe and stick with it. Truthfully, if you’re happy with the Cumulus, I’d consider sticking with it as a primary shoe.
That said, if you’re looking for similar shoes in the category, I’d have a look at the Brooks Defyance or Ravenna as well. I ran in the Ravenna for about two years and found them to provide good support, cushioning, and guidance.
