Preview: Asics GT-2000

For 2013 Asics debuts a complete reboot to its famous GT series running shoe, now dubbed the GT 2000. The new series features an all new mid foot shank, lower heel to toe ratio, and a new Dynamic Duomax medial posting system. We’re currently testing the Gore Tex equipped all terrain version, the GT 2000 GTX.

I hope they don’t chage it too much I loved the 2170. However I do hope the gt 2000 has a quicker feel.

When the Asics PR came to our store, I definitely did not like the GT-2000 as much as the 2170 (the model out right now). Asics is getting ready to overhaul quite a few shoes, so be ready to accommodate some changes in 2013

I have about 30 miles on the GT-2000 men’s size 9 version and this is the best 2000 series shoe I’ve ever run in. I love the firm midsole and the lower profile. It has great toe-box flex and is very stable. Much improved from past versions.

I recently purchase the GT 2000 womens shoe and I am having trouble breaking them in. Keep putting my worn in 2170s on. I hope I can get used to them.
