WHO IS IT FOR
The Nike Air Zoom Vomero 10 is designed for those neutral runners who are looking for a premium, daily trainer offering sufficient cushioning capable of handling the demands of high mileage with ease.

Nike Zoom Vomero 10 General Info

This was my first experience running in the Vomero 10 and I came away very impressed as it performed well whether it was during a fast paced training workout or longer higher mileage runs.

The shoe is targeted for those neutral runners, or those with mild supination, who are looking for comfortable and smooth ride while still providing reliable durability.

The Vomero 10’s kept the classic Flywire around the midsole which it integrated into the new Flymesh seamless upper which surrounds the entire foot.

This new mesh upper design allows the shoe to be more lightweight, breathable and provide a comfortable fit the minute the shoe is laced-up.

The shoe provided smooth, quick transition throughout entire ground contact due to the newly updated midsole which now includes new Cushlon foam midsole to go along with the Zoom Air for improved comfort.

The newly designed upper and updated midsole of the Vomero 10 allows for runners to experience a comfortable fit to go along with quick transition and soft ride throughout entire ground contact.

Nike Zoom Vomero 10 Sole Info

The Vomero 10 underwent design changes to the sole unit to provide better performance and a smoother more comfortable ride.

Nike is using a newly redesigned midsole combining a Cushlon foam midsole which was added to the Zoom Air to deliver a very comfortable and responsive ride from heel-to-toe.

The Cushlon foam midsole is softer in the forefoot while being a tad firmer in the heel to allow for a smoother transition during entire transition.

This combination Cushlon foam and Zoom Air used throughout the sole unit allows the Vomero 10 to deliver a very soft cushioning as well as responsive performance underfoot.

The outsole incorporates Duralon rubber in the forefoot with a durable high abrasion rubber in the heel for reliability and secure traction while flex grooves allow for increased flexibility through a runner’s entire ground contact.

The heel-to-toe drop on the Vomero 10 comes in at 12 mm which tends to be on the higher side than some of its competitors but this did not impact the performance of the shoe which remained solid.

The changes Nike made to the sole, specifically the addition of the Cushlon midsole, increased the overall cushioning throughout while delivering a smooth and responsive ride underfoot.

Nike Zoom Vomero 10 Upper Info

Nike once again redesigned the Vomero upper and this is where you will find several significant updates to this version.

The main updates are the addition of the new seamless Flymesh upper which wraps the entire foot. This new mesh design allows the shoe to be more lightweight and breathable while providing for a secure and snug fit the moment you place your foot in the shoe.

The Flywire cable remains yet now has double the cables for each lace which provide even more security throughout the midfoot.

The Flywire, like all other Nike models, allows a runner to adjust for a more adaptable and personalized fit as the shoe is laced.

These allow a runner to adjust for a more adaptable and individualized fit around the midfoot for increased stability and comfort.

The Molded FitFrame continues to provide the security for the heel which is locked in place for solid support throughout the foot strike.

The newly redesigned, seamless upper combining the Flymesh material throughout with Flywire along the midfoot allow the Vomero 10 to deliver a customized fit around each runners foot.

From the very first run, the enhancements to the upper made for a more comfortable and secure fit while the seamless, Flymesh upper wrapped the entire foot which was easily adjusted via the Flywire for a customized, snug fit.

Nike Zoom Vomero 10 Conclusions

The Nike lineup of shoes is extremely deep. The Vomero 10 has carved out its place as a lightweight, daily trainer which remains a solid option for neutral runners who are seeking a shoe that can delivers comfort as well as the durability to endure high mileage.

The enhancements to the upper with the new seamless, lightweight mesh combined with the Flywire make this an extremely comfortable shoe providing a secure fit.

The newly updated midsole allow the Vomero 10 to continue to offer enhanced cushioning for a smooth and soft ride from heel-to-toe.

For those neutral runners who are looking for a quality, daily trainer that offers premium cushioning to go along with a quick and smooth transition throughout entire ground contact, the Vomero 10 should be considered in their rotation.

We thank the nice people at Nike for sending us a pair of Zoom Vomero 10 to test. This did not influence the outcome of the review, written after running more than 50 miles in them.
