The second iteration of a fan-favorite neutral shoe, the Adidas Energy Boost 2 boasts a new design and sleek features built for lightweight performance and durability. The Energy Boost 2 includes the same neutral cushioning and support as the original Energy Boost in a light and flexible frame. The new model’s translucent heel-to-midfoot cage is paired with a lightweight upper and springy midsole.

I bought these as a substitute for my Nike Pegasus 29. Love the feel of the sole. Great cushioned ride but with a good amount of response.
My only complaint is the plastic part that holds the laces cut my finger due to its sharp edge.

I have both Energy Boost 1 & 2. The speed are about the same. I thought the Boost 2 was more comfortable, sturdy and had more boost power. It did fit like a glove with the Boost 2 when the Boost 1 was hugged and snugged. The Boost 2 locks your feet more still and has better transitions. The upper was a bit more soft and breathable. However, it stands taller, a bit heavier, and the bounce seemed to be going upward rather than forward compared to the Energy Boost 1. (Not sure if it was because of the Heel Lock that made my ankle position too straight up. I always had to use an extra effort to lean forward during each stride of the run.) During the run I felt the Boost 2 was more stiff, heavy and I felt more impact to my body and joints. Therefore, I still prefer the Boost1.

I received a pair of these today the sole is the same but the upper is lighter, more breathable and less restrictive. The same sizing applies (I am a 10 these are an 11) – Not sure if its just me but they seem to feel slightly cheaper although not reflected in the price.

Slightly heavier but not as you would notice look forward to taking them on the road.

Interesting colours mine a re striped like a zebra
