Summary

The Nike Free X Metcon is designed especially for CrossFit. The upper is flexible and more comfortable than the standard Metcon. This shoe has other CrossFit features like a stable midsole, wide toebox, heel counter, and a 5mm drop. These shoes are designed between the Nike Metcon and the Nike Free.

The wrap around TPU heel counter and adjustable lacing options can handle lifting, training, and running during intense workouts. Flywire loops wrap from each side of the shoe for extra stability. The tri-star grooves located in the heel and forefoot offer good traction. On the outsole, you will notice the raised grooves are non-compressible and the indented grooves only compress some to absorb shock.

Who is it for?

The Nike Free X Metcon is perfect for those who want a versatile shoe that can handle all of the CrossFit activities. It lands between the Metcon and Free. The shoe is stable and has a sock-like feel for comfort.
