Summary

This is just an overview, not a review. We did not test the GORun MaxRoad 3 Ultra yet.
The Skechers GORun MaxRoad 3 Ultra is a maximum cushioning shoe that offers springiness other shoes in this category don’t have. It is flexible, lightweight, and can be used for various activities. The shoes are designed to be used on the road, but they can also be used for a job where you need to be on your feet most of the day.

The midsole features Ultra Flight cushioning, which is soft and springy. The MaxRoad 3 Ultra is wider than the previous version for more stability and a consistent ride, no matter where on your feet you land. The forefoot is also flexible to aid in your toe off and allow for natural toe splay. Since the heel and midfoot are wider, you may need to lock down the laces for a more secure fit. In addition, the midsole is ventilated with drainage holes so you can expect your feet to stay cool and dry throughout the day.

The upper of the MaxRoad 3 Ultra is soft enough you can wear them without socks. It has a good heel counter as well. The sole features a web outsole, so it is pretty smooth and is best used on the road when running. The durability of the outsole is decent, but not as great as other shoes in this category. You will notice the outsole breaks down faster but the cushioning stays intact.

Who is it for?

The Skechers GORun MaxRoad 3 Ultra is a maximum cushioning shoe that can be used for daily training, uptempo runs, and marathons. It is not recommended for speed workouts because it does have a lot of cushioning that can slow you down. If you stand on your feet all day at work, these shoes can also help keep you comfortable. They are versatile whether you want to take them on a run or wear them throughout the day.
