Summary

The Skechers GOrun Razor 3 Hyper shoes are designed to be a fast performance and distance racing shoe. These are ideal for 5k to half to full marathons. They offer a secure fit, are pressure free, and are comfortable right out of the box. The sizes are unisex so that is something to take into consideration when finding the right fit for you.

The midsole of the Razor 3 is 30 percent more resilient and 15 percent lighter than the UltraFlight midsole. You will notice the midsole is firm, but still offers some bounce while keeping you in control of your run. The midsole has tiny gas-filled bubbles that are squishy, but they do not take away from your energy.

On the upper, you will notice it is made up of light materials that are also strong. The collar and tongue of the Razor 3 are padded, especially the Achilles area, which is very padded a bit lower than other shoes. The upper is also thin and breathable to keep your feet cool during the long marathon runs.

The outsole can handle a variety of surfaces — both wet and dry — because of the aggressive traction. It is better than the previous versions and will protect you from the road. Narrow strips of rubber are located on the outsole, which helps to provide traction. The heel and forefoot of the outsole are thinner than previous versions, but the cushioning is still decent.

Who is it for?

The Skechers GOrun Razor 3 Hyper is a versatile running shoe that can handle anything from 5ks to full marathons. The midfoot of the shoe locks down, but the toes can still flex for a natural toe splay. Overall, the has a racy feel to it that offers decent cushioning while still being lightweight.
