The Saucony Excursion TR13 is a mid-priced trail running shoe. This is a neutral running shoe with a 8mm offset at a weight of 9.7oz. It consists of versafoam that provides cushioning from heel to toe.

The toe box was also tight and the lack of arch support could be felt with each step.
I took them out on the trail and was able to get in 4 miles before I felt my feet tiring. The trail was soft and hard packed dirt with rocks and roots. It is a pretty flat trail with a couple of small hills.
These shoes are pretty light weight so I could run a strong pace. They felt a little unstable as I would go over the rocks or uneven terrain, so I found myself guarding.
I took the shoes out a few more times and tried to get in higher mileage each time, unfortunately I could only get up to 8 miles before it was too painful to run any longer.
