The Brooks Adrenaline GTS is for the runner looking for a shoe that provides you with stability. It
offers a smooth and supportive ride that can be felt for miles and miles.
I would say this shoe is not for someone who is planning on running an ultra marathon.
Although very comfortable for long distances, I just felt that they started to lack in the midsolearea. They run on the firmer side. I can think of plenty of other shoes that would provide ample cushioning for those longer distances.
The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 24 has been completely redone and updated with a new upper and outsole. It is a supportive road shoe. It’s been around for over 20 years and has been a fan favorite.
They are the first model that has nitrogen-infused DNA Loftv3 foam but still offers the trusted GuideRails stability technology. Brooks typically saves their DNA Loft v3 foam for their top-of-the-line shoes, like the Glycerin 21 but you can find it now in the Adrenalines.
It is a popular daily trainer geared towards overpronators and the neutral runner. You’ll noticehow stable it is and you can thank Brooks GuideRails technology. From the previous version, they have become more responsive, due to the new and improved midsole.
The heel drop is 12mm and overall this is a very firm and stable
shoe.
I have had my share of Brooks shoes and they all have a very similar vibe and look to them.
The new Adrenaline’s have not had a huge facelift but look up to date with the times.
I received the all-white/off-white pair and I typically don’t love that color scheme but these look sharp. The light upper with the black bottom looks very fresh and I love wearing them with my regular outfits for running errands.
From just looking at them, you can see how well made they are and that isn’t a surprise when talking about a Brooks shoe.
Being a big Brooks fan for many years, I have come to know how a Brooks shoe feels. That feeling is normally, supportive and comfortable. Putting them on for the first time I noticed right away how firm they felt all over.
The heel counter and midsole especially. Sometimes, I prefer a firmer shoe when I am using it for faster tempo or track workouts. These are geared towards an everyday trainer and they are not my first pick when it comes to wearing them for anything over 5 miles. If we are talking about walking in them, I will wear these all day and I do grab them for anything walking related.
My first run in them was a 5k on the treadmill. It wasn’t anything fast, just a get your blood flowing workout. During that first run, I could tell that they were a little too small. I would recommend sizing up a half-size. I just wear thinner socks with them now and that helps.
During my runs, I would notice how firm the midsole is but provide you with cushioning. It is one of the most stable shoes I have tested.
All in all, the Adrenaline is such aquality-made shoe that I found myself wearing it for all sorts of events.
An area other than walking would be training. I loved how dependable they were while doing strength training exercises. Especially anything that involved balancing or one-legged exercises.
It provides a nice balance of breathability, stretch, and structure that helps to make it fit comfortably. Just like most companies, Brooks has begun to start to think bigger about the impact their products and their full life cycle have on people and the planet. That being said, they state that the upper is made out of 62.7% of recycled materials.
The heel collar has hefty padding that helps to secure your foot in place. Some overlays are strategically placed over the midfoot to help lock down the fit.
The gusseted tongue is thick but overall very comfortable. The laces are standard and nothing new to see. They stay in place and get the job done.
You add that to their trusted GuideRail technology and you get an experience that leaves you comfy and reduces excess motion. You will be provided with top-notch lateral support. A fun fact is that Brooks shoes that use GuideRails Technology all have the to “GTS” or” Go To Support” in the name.
The outsole is noticeably reengineered. It has exposed foam as well as rubber. The new RoadTrack rubber outsole is made with recycled materials that provide you with great traction but also allow you to feel a soft landing.
I have worn them in all conditions and I have not had an issue with slipping except on snow and that’s to be expected.
The durability so far has been great. I have worn them for well over 50 miles and there is
little to no wear.
My conclusion of the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 24 would be that I do find myself reaching for them for all my walks. Wearing them all day for walks or errands is where I find I love using them the most.
I thoroughly enjoy the stable and supportive structure of them. Loving them for a daily running shoe? Not a huge fan of their firmness and bulkiness – but I appreciate that sometimes it’s the price you pay for outstanding stability.
They are great for shorter jogs but ideally a perfect walking shoe. If you are in the market for a shoe that is well made, durable, and stable, look no further and give them a shot.

After 200 miles in the Adrenaline GTS 24, I’m very impressed with the updates. The GuideRails support system feels more refined than the 23, providing stability without being intrusive. The DNA Loft v3 midsole strikes a great balance between cushioning and responsiveness. Perfect for my daily 6-8 mile runs and long runs up to 16 miles. The engineered mesh upper provides excellent lockdown and breathability. Compared to the Kayano 30, these feel more nimble while maintaining support. Already ordered a second pair for rotation. Only downside is the firmer ride takes some getting used to coming from softer stability shoes.

Bit disappointed after trying these on today. Been loyal to the GTS line for years but this new DNA Loft v3 feels way different – much firmer than my trusty 22s. Did anyone else need time to adjust to the new foam? Also heads up to anyone looking – definitely size up, my toes were cramped in my usual size.

I am a 77 year old slow runner. Have been in Adrenalines since the earliest models. They have been the perfect shoes for me, but the 24 is a changed construction, and it does not work for me like the 23 and previous editions. My foot rolls around more and my knees are hurting for the first time in twenty years. I wish they had not changed the last. Definitely need to go up 1/2 size because of the tighter fore foot. If I could find ten pair of the 23s in my size I would scarf them up today.

I’ve put about 200 miles on my Adrenaline GTS 24s and they’ve been fantastic stability trainers. The GuideRails support system really helps control my mild overpronation without feeling intrusive. I previously ran in the GTS 22 and these feel noticeably more responsive while maintaining that signature Brooks stability. Used them for everything from easy 5 milers to a recent half marathon. The cushioning hits a sweet spot – protective enough for long runs but not overly soft like some max cushion shoes. Only minor gripe is I had to size up a half size as they run a bit small. Compared to the Saucony Guide 16, these feel more stable and durable.

I’ve completed three marathons in the Adrenaline GTS 24 and they’ve proven to be incredibly reliable. The GuideRails system provides perfect support for my slight overpronation without feeling intrusive. While they are firmer than my previous Hoka Arahi 6, I actually prefer this for longer distances as it feels more stable. The durability is impressive – I’m 400 miles in and they’re still performing well. The only adjustment needed was going up half a size. These have become my go-to shoe for both training and racing, especially on days when I need that extra stability.

The Adrenaline GTS 24 continues to be my stability shoe of choice after trying version 23. I’ve logged 250 miles in them, mostly easy runs and long runs up to 18 miles. The GuideRails system provides noticeable support without feeling intrusive – perfect for my mild overpronation. While firmer than some competing stability shoes like the Kayano, I prefer this for longer runs. Used them for a recent marathon in 3:45 with zero stability issues. The durability is outstanding – barely any wear showing. They run a bit small so size up, but otherwise a fantastic stable trainer.

Finally checked these out at Fleet Feet after loving my GTS 23s all year. Gotta say, pretty disappointed – they definitely run smaller (my toes were cramped), and the cushioning feels way more firm than I’m used to. Think I’ll keep rocking my 23s until they die. Sometimes newer isn’t better!

My trusty GTS 22s are ready for retirement and I’m eyeing the 24s. Anyone with wide feet try these yet? I’ve got bunions so toe box space is crucial. Also curious if any Saucony Guide 16 users can compare the stability – my physical therapist recommended both for my overpronation.

After putting 150 miles on the Adrenaline GTS 24, I can confidently say these are fantastic stability shoes. The GuideRails support system really helps control excess movement, especially on my longer runs. I’ve used these for everything from easy 5-milers to an 18-mile training run, and the cushioning holds up well. They do feel firmer than my old Nike Structure, but I actually prefer this for tempo work. Had to size up half a size as recommended. Durability is excellent – barely any wear on the outsole. Perfect for daily training, though I’ll probably reach for something lighter on race day.

After 150 miles in the Adrenaline GTS 24, I can confidently say these are the best stability shoes I’ve worn. The GuideRails system works better than traditional posts – no more knee pain on my longer runs. Took these through a rainy marathon and they performed flawlessly. The durability is exceptional – barely any wear showing. While they’re firmer than my old Nike Structure, I prefer this for maintaining form when fatigue sets in. Agree with sizing up – I went half size up and it’s perfect. Great for heavier runners like me (180 lbs) who need reliable stability.

Been running in Adrenalines forever but hearing mixed things about the 24. My GTS 23s are about done and I’ve got Chicago coming up – anyone training for a marathon in these? That firmer ride has me wondering if I should maybe look at the Glycerin GTS instead. Really don’t want to switch shoes mid-training but need something that’ll keep me stable through those 20-milers.

Hey everyone! Looking at the Adrenaline GTS 24 to replace my old Ravennas. Been reading about the GuideRails but kinda nervous about switching from traditional stability. My local store doesn’t have them in stock yet. I typically wear women’s 8 in Nike and Saucony – anyone had to size up in these? Need them for my spring marathon training!

After running in stability shoes for years, the Adrenaline GTS 24 might be my favorite version yet. I’ve logged over 200 miles in them, including several 15+ mile training runs. The GuideRails system provides just enough support without feeling intrusive. The updated DNA LOFT v2 midsole hits a sweet spot between cushioning and responsiveness – firmer than expected but in a good way that promotes faster turnover. Durability is exceptional – barely any wear on the outsole. Compared to my old Kayanos, these feel more versatile and lighter. The only adjustment was sizing up half a size.

Just upgraded from my GTS 22s and honestly, I’m kinda missing the old model. They definitely made the ride firmer – took these out for a 10-miler yesterday and could really feel the difference. The GuideRails feel different too, not sure if that’s good or bad yet. Might have to check out the Glycerin GTS – my legs could use the extra cushioning for marathon training.

After 300 miles in the Adrenaline GTS 24, I’m thoroughly impressed. The GuideRails system provides perfect stability without feeling intrusive. I’ve used these for everything from recovery runs to 18-milers during marathon training. The durability is outstanding – barely any wear showing. While firmer than the Saucony Guide 16, I actually prefer this for longer runs. They’ve become my go-to daily trainer, especially impressive since I was skeptical about switching from my trusty Kayanos.

Popped into Fleet Feet to check these out since my GTS 23s are getting up there in miles. Love the fancy new upper but man, they definitely feel stiffer than my current pair. At least they didn’t mess with the support features – my ankles appreciate that! Might hold off until they go on sale though, seems a bit pricey compared to my other options.

Longtime Adrenaline user here. Tried the 24s in store and definitely notice they’re firmer than the 23s. The GuideRails seem more pronounced too. Might wait for these to go on sale before upgrading from my 23s.

After 250 miles in the Adrenaline GTS 24, I can confidently say these are the most reliable stability shoes I’ve worn. Coming from the Structure 25, the GuideRails system provides more natural support without feeling intrusive. Perfect for my mild overpronation. They’ve carried me through two half marathons and countless training runs. The durability is impressive – barely any wear on the outsole. While firmer than expected, the cushioning sweet spot works great for my daily 5-8 mile runs. The fit is indeed half size small – went up to 9.5 from my usual 9. Excellent update to a trusted line.

About to grab these for my everyday miles but sizing’s got me confused. Usually wear a 10 in Brooks but heard we should size up? My current pair is getting pretty tight in the toe box after about 6 miles. Also, how’s the cushioning? I’m coming from Hokas and prefer something that’s not super firm.

Just swapped my beat-up GTS 23s for these. Gotta say, they definitely feel different – bit firmer but in a good way. The stability feels more dialed in now. Quick heads up for anyone looking – definitely size up half a size. My usual 10 was way too snug, 10.5 feels perfect.

Thank you for the clarification. While I found this review helpful I feel the author was a bit ambiguous in describing the fit as sizing up by 1/2 size. Your description helped me understand, thank you.

Agree with your review 100 percent. Didnt like running but walking seems ok. Liked the previous version much better the 23 and my favorite was the 21. keep up the good work!

I’ve been running in the Adrenaline GTS 24 for the past month, logging about 100 miles including a half marathon. The GuideRails system provides excellent stability without feeling intrusive – noticeably better than previous versions. The updated DNA LOFT v2 cushioning feels firmer than expected but breaks in nicely after 20-30 miles. Compared to the Glycerin GTS, these feel more responsive and lighter, though less plush. Perfect for daily training and long runs, though I prefer something lighter for speedwork. The durability is impressive – barely any wear showing on the outsole. One note – definitely size up half a size as they run small.

After logging 200 miles in the Adrenaline GTS 24, I can say Brooks has really refined their stability formula. Coming from the 22 model (skipped 23), the updated DNA LOFT v2 midsole provides noticeably better energy return while maintaining the signature stability. I use these primarily for easy and recovery runs between 5-10 miles. The GuideRails system feels more integrated and less intrusive than previous versions. While firmer than expected, this actually helps with longer runs where fatigue sets in. Durability is exceptional – barely any visible wear on the outsole. The fit is definitely long – I sized down half a size from my usual Brooks size. Compared to the Ghost 15, these feel more structured but not restrictive. A solid 8/10 for stability seekers.

I was buying these shoes because of having plantar in my feet. These new adrenaline gts24 are not made for that support any more. Need to go back to the 23 design
