The Glycerin is Brooks’ traditional max-cushioned trainer. It's a more premium version of the Brooks Ghost and it costs $175. It's on its 23rd iteration.
The Vomero is Nike's traditional max-cushioned trainer. It's a more premium version of the Nike Pegasus and it costs $155. It's on its 18th iteration so it hasn't been around as long as the Glycerin.
This article will tell you which max-cushioned trainer you should buy.
Both are premium, maximal cushioning running shoes. The Glycerin has a thinner midsole that provides a little more stability and speed. The new Vomero has more cushioning, feels softer for longer runs and costs $20 less.

The Glycerin has a dual-density midsole made of DNA Tuned, a supercritical EVA foam. It has a firmer forefoot and a softer rearfoot. The Glycerin has a medium soft ride that’s very balanced. It feels like a versatile daily trainer.
The Vomero also has a dual-density midsole with soft ZoomX on the top and firmer ReactX on the bottom. The Vomero has a plush ride that feels like a traditional max-cushioned trainer.
The Vomero has better energy return. It has a top layer of ZoomX which has excellent energy return and provides more pop on toe off. The ride of the Glycerin feels much flatter in comparison.
The midsole of the Glycerin is much thinner than the Vomero’s so it doesn’t have as much cushioning depth. The Glycerin is firmer and better for shorter, faster runs. The Vomero is better for longer, slower efforts.
If stability is important to you, the Glycerin is more stable. Your feet sit lower to the ground in the Glycerin due to its thinner midsole. It also has a firmer midsole than the Vomero so the Glycerin is more supportive and more stable.
On the outsoles, the Glycerin has more rubber coverage than the Vomero. The rubber of the Glycerin is also more abrasion resistant and doesn’t wear down as quickly as the soft rubber of the Vomero. The Glycerin outsole will last much longer if you are hard on outsoles.

Both trainers have plush, luxurious uppers with plenty of padding. The Vomero upper feels a little bit thicker and more padded than the Glycerin upper but it also feels warmer than the Glycerin.
The tongue of the Vomero is thicker and it’s also semi-gusseted while the Glycerin tongue isn’t. Foot lockdown is acceptable in the Vomero but excellent in the Glycerin.
Both uppers fit true to size but they have narrow toe boxes. The interior of the Glycerin is slightly more spacious than the Vomero so runners with high volume or wide feet will find the Glycerin more comfortable. Both trainers are available in wide versions.

If you want a firmer, more versatile trainer for shorter, faster runs, get the Brooks Glycerin. It has a thinner midsole that’s more stable and more supportive. It also has a more durable outsole and a more spacious interior; however, it costs a substantial $20 more than the Vomero.
If you prefer a softer, plusher max cushioned trainer, get the Nike Vomero. The thicker Vomero has more cushioning and is better for slow and long runs. It has a more lively ride due to the layer of ZoomX in its midsole and it has a more padded upper too.
