Summary
The Brooks Hyperion Elite is a premium race-day shoe with a firm, stable ride.It has a DNA Zero midsole which is a light, responsive foam and a full-length carbon fibre propulsion plate which eases transitions from heel to forefoot and propels you at toe-off. The outsole has thick rubber on the forefoot and heel which doesn't weigh down the shoe. The mid foot foam on the outsole is exposed and has no coverage but the rubber in the forefoot and heel provide plenty of traction and grip.
The upper of the Hyperion Elite is made from a lightweight, breathable woven material which is free from overlays. There is cushioning ring around the inside of the heel cup for extra comfort and to provide a good heel lockdown.
The Brooks Hyperion is a flagship racer which has a propulsion plate that keeps the shoe stiff and provides an efficient forward-rolling sensation. It's a unique carbon-plated shoe in that it is much firmer and stabler than other carbon-plated flagships.
