3 resons to buy it, 3 reasons to avoid it
Smooth ride transitions
The new beveled heel, sole geometry and outsole configuration resulted in very smooth transitions from heel to toe.
The Ultraboost 21 is arguably the best looking performance running shoe out there.
Well built and durable
Both the bootie-constructed upper and the crystal rubber outsole are very sturdy and will definitely stand the test of time.
The Ultraboost 21’s hefty weight severely limits its use to only easy and recovery runs.
Loose heel lockdown
The problem with bootie constructions is that it makes it impossible to implement double last row eyelets so heel lock lacing can’t be done.
Expensive for what you get
At $180 the Ultraboost 21 does not offer enough to be competitive with other premium running shoes.
