Thanksgiving Traditions
Every Thanksgiving, thousands of towns across the US host annual turkey trot 5k’s. Dan Holland recalls watching the Macy’s Day parade as a child while his father would direct a race in a local park, and now Dan has taken over his father’s role. These annual races help to bring people together and promote community service, plus they help you finish off that twenty pound turkey later that night.

Beer Mile World Championship
In the past few years, the beer mile has become an extremely popular event. Elites such as Nick Symmonds have raced it to test their skills not only as a runner, but as a “beer enthusiast”. If you haven’t heard of the beer mile, it consists of 4 laps around a track, while drinking a beer before beginning each lap. Because of the growing popularity of this event, FloTrack has decided to start an annual Beer Mile World Championships which will take place in Austin, Texas on December 3rd.
