Beer Mile World Championships
Earlier this week, elite runners toed the line of the first annual Beer Mile World Championships. Even an Olympian, Nick Symmonds, raced the event that was hosted by FloTrack in Austin, Texas. The Womens Elite Race saw a new World Record from Elizabeth Herndon who run to a clear victory in 6:17.7.
The Mile High Run Club
New York City’s first running specific studio is starting to make a splash in the running community. The treadmill specific training plans are improving the times of everyone from elite runners to the every day jogger.

Running With Crohn’s
Carey McKelvey tells the story of his struggle with Crohn’s disease and how he has overcome it. Just eighteen months after an emergency surgery in which Carey lost a foot and a half of his small intestine, he found himself running alongside his fiancee in the Pittsburgh 10 Miler.
