User Review: Saucony Guide 6 by Jim G.

This was my first shoe that I actually purchased with the intent to run in. I looked at previous shoes I had worn out and determined that I wear them out in the inside heel section first and from using guides on the internet deemed that the Guide 6’s provided the necessary support.

First Impression / Unboxing Experience:
I ordered from amazon and the first thing I noticed about these shoes is the weight. The whole box and packaging they came in was extremely light. To compare my previous running type shoe I had was the reebok zig tech shoes now seemed heavy.

Size:
I have always worn a size 12.5 in almost every shoe I have worn so I ordered 12.5 and they fit perfect so I would say they don’t run big or small.
On a side note the toe box does seem a tad bit cramped which was consistent with other reviews of this shoe.

First Run:
My first run was a 28 minute 5k run outside in around 29 degree weather. Was running on sidewalks and occasionally hit a section that was not cleared but traction was alright in the snowy conditions. This run also convinced me they have good ventilation because with each stride I could feel the fresh cold air right onto my foot.

Durability:
With my runs split 50/50 wether I run outside or at the gym on a treadmill due to weather I have had nothing but good things to say about how they have been preforming. I have around 125 miles on them and they are showing almost no signs of wear.

Price:
I paid $109 on amazon for them which I think is an alright deal for the shoe.

Overall:
This is a good valued shoe that I imagine would be good for a new runner or an experienced one that needs the support this shoe offers. The only thing that I would recommend be improved upon is the colors available. All of the choices available seemed too flashy for my taste but ended up getting the green ones. I would recommend this brand and show to my friends.
