Nike launches new collection of Nike FREE running shoes for 2016

Fresh for the spring season, Nike releases a new collection of Nike Free shoes – building on twelve years of Free tradition.

The idea is that new studies seem to suggest that the foot expands and contracts during “landing” on the ground. The new midsole design allows the sole to expand both in length and width on each individual pod at the time of contact with the ground.

Here’s a picture of the new outsole:

We haven’t tested these shoes yet, but we’ve just bought them so expect a review soon!

Here below a quick overview of the three new Nike Free shoes.

Top of the new Nike Free range, the Nike FREE RN MOTION FLYKNIT pairs the new auxetic midsole with a 3D ribbing from the forefoot to the heel. The upper is a one-piece Flyknit.

This version includes an engineered mesh Flyknit upper and the same auxetic midsole with new configuration and foam material.

This version has an engineered upper (non-Flyknit) and a new, softer foam.

Stay tuned for the reviews of these new shoes and also for some other interesting news from Brooks, Asics…
