Nike has updated its line-up of train running shoes with the Nike Wildhorse 6 and the Nike Air Zoom Terra Kiger 6.

Both of these outdoor-friendly variants are in their sixth versions. Nike says that these updates “recognize the distinct variances within trail running” which makes it easier for runners to adapt to different kinds of terrains and conditions.

The new Wildhorse 6 now comes with the more comfortable and stable Nike REACT Foam — this happens at a time when Nike is quick to pad up its newer running shoes with the REACT foam. The Kiger 6 has been updated with a new upper body to keep off mud, moisture, and muck.

Nike Wildhorse 6

The Nike Zoom Wildhorse 5 proved to be a durable pair with good foot protection from rock plate and EVA foam. It also had an added toe bumper — an improvement over the older models in the line-up.

Nike REACT cushioning

The Nike REACT cushioning now runs through the midsole of the Wildhorse 6.

Now, the new Nike Zoom Wildhorse 6 seeks to add more comfort with the REACT cushioning running through the length of the midsole. Nike has added a horseshoe-shaped pod of firmer foam to the heel, which increases the shoe stability. It also has a higher cuff to get rid of the debris and keep the overall material soft and flexible.

The newest update to the Wildhorse has also made the outsole lugs more durable and aggressive. An improvement in the lugs is supposed to improve traction and reduce clogging in muddy tracks.

There has been an update to the way runners lace up as well. The new pair comes with a modified lacing system that uses a lateral fit band to keep runners geared up and distraction-free.

The Wildhorse 6 is available in three colors: spruce aura, black, and olive.

Nike Air Zoom Terra Kiger 6

The Nike Air Zoom Terra Kiger 5 was already fast and comfortable. It also came with a secure fit. It was more responsive than the past models, and the upgrades worked well.

The new Terra Kiger 6 includes a more durable mesh that protects the upper body against rocks, roots, and mud. It has also been updated with an adjusted forefoot to provide an even more secure fit with isolated front eyelets. To minimize the hotspots in the toe box, designers have reduced tip overlay shape in the new Terra Kiger 6.
