    Brooks Transcend 4 is a stable shoe without bulk and is well-suited for both long runs and speed work. It's higher price tag is justified by cushion that lasts throughout a long run as well as obvious technology and quality materials going into the design

    Mizuno’s Wave Horizon is a snug-fitting stability shoe that delivers moderate cushion and control with little bulk. The ride is a bit stiff but overall enjoyable, and the shoe maintains its support throughout a long run. The cushioning is pleasant but has room for improvement

    The Brooks Ravenna 8 provides a highly cushioned ride while offering some stability: it's there, but nothing stands out during the run, ie: no stiffness, no hard medial post, not bulky in the heel. In effect, it's a shoe that seems confused about if it's stability or neutral shoe, snug or loose-fitting, which is not
