Have you seen the new Nike LunarEpic Flyknit ?

Inspired from the soccer boot Magista, Nike releases a running shoe that looks like no other

Nike launches today (March 3rd) a completely new running shoe: the LunarEpic Flyknit.

It takes inspiration from the Magista soccer boot that came out last year.

The Nike LunarEpic Flyknit has 3 traits that differentiate them from anything else we have seen:

  1. a Flyknit upper that wraps the ankle up to mid-height;
  2. a new dual-injection midsole that uses heat instead of glue to fuse together two different foams;
  3. a rubber-free outsole with laser-siped geometric pistons inspired by pressure maps of the foot.

Here’s some of the original concept sketches:

And finally, a gallery of all the pictures we were given. Stay tuned – we plan to review these new funky boots as soon as possible!
