Rumor has it that Garmin is about to launch an update to the Garmin Forerunner 35, 235 and 935.

Most likely these will be the new Forerunner 45, 245 and 945…

What does that mean for you today ?

It means retailers have started discounting the existing units to make room for the new ones.

Here is what you can get on Amazon today:

  • Garmin Forerunner 35 From $170 to $125.
This is the entry-level Forerunner. It always was a good deal, but at $125 with GPS and wrist-based heart rate monitor it really is a no-brainer.

  • Garmin Forerunner 235 From $329 to $249.
The 235 has been the best selling Garmin running watch for the past 3 years and with good reason: at a very attractive price (especially now) it offers a great, customisable color display and a much longer battery life. Add to this the capability of linking to your smartphone to provide notifications and you have an incredible deal.

The 935 is, together with the Fenix, the top of the range Garmin Forerunner watch. This is geared towards triathletes that want to track multi sports and events. It has barometric altimeter, the ability of providing advanced running metrix once paired with the Garmin footpod or chest heart rate strap and longer battery life.
