Asics Introduces Metaracer, Metarise, and Metasprint Performance Shoes With Carbon Fiber Plate
Asics announced three new performance shoes in a VR release that are aimed at improving the performance of athletes both outdoors and indoors.

The Asics Innovation Summit announced three new performance shoes in a VR release. It claims that the new releases are its “most advanced performance shoes yet”.
Metaracer is Asics’ most advanced distance racing shoe for long-distance runners. It comes with the energy-saving Guidesole technology combined with a stabilizing carbon plate, which makes it comfortable for long runs.
The shoe has an improved toe-spring shape that reduces the load on the calf muscle by up to 20 percent for better energy efficiency.

Asics researchers have found that every degree less heat in a running shoe improves an athlete’s well-being.
Metaracer is priced at €200.
The third in the line is Metarise — an indoor shoe designed for the attack.
Metarise can give players an extra 3 percent lift in fast indoor movements. Its curved heels support a smooth transition and lift off for the attack.
An extra 3 per cent lift for higher jumps can mean a difference of up to 2 cm in the air for athletes.

The new Metarise also comes at €200.
For sprinters, Asics has released Metasprint. It is a spikeless track shoe and is lighter than most sprinting footwear. Instead, its honeycomb sole provides more traction and transfers power in between each stride for increased speed over short distances.
Metasprint is targeted at elite and competitive sprinters.

The new releases will go head to head with the Nike Vaporfly — also with carbon fiber plates — that has dominated the marathon world in 2019 and 2020.
