The Asics Evolution 6 is a Motion Control Shoe especially designed to support the collapsing arch of a severe over-pronator. The Maximum Support Space Trusstic helps to stabilise the heel on impact. The Guidance Line, a groove built into the outsole also encourages a more efficient running gait. This running shoe’s cushioning is different for each sex, to benefit them both.

The sole unit utilizes all of the latest Asics technological research, but now they are fine-tuned to meet the needs of an over pronator. This model uses revolutionary technology to make the cushioning specific to each gender, with the female model offering a dual density cradle on top of the regular 2 density midsole, ensuring a stable base from which to run for both men and women. The Asics High Abrasion Rubber heel makes the shoe extremely durable.
The rear-foot cushioning system uses silicone gel to minimize the shock of impact and the forefoot cushioning system performs the same kind of protection when toeing off. The durable Solyte mid-sole provides the Asics Evolution 6 with premium lightweight cushioning. The support extends from the heel right to the medial midfoot with a dual density mid-sole especially designed to reduce over-pronation. The Asics Evolution 6 also uses the space trusstic system for maximum support of the arches. This is a plastic shank which effectively wraps around the foot and prevents misalignment.
An especially important feature of the Asics Evolution 6 is the guidance line, a vertical groove which improves gait efficiency. Another special feature of this running shoe is a gender-specific mid-sole unit made of thermal plastic. It stabilizes the mid-foot of the shoe and allows the foot to move naturally, without deformation in the mid-sole caused by over-pronation. The forefront DuraSponge gives good cushioning with flexibility. The women’s model a pillow soft mid-sole layer.

The stretch material of the forefoot creates a comfortable fit and reduces chafing. The open mesh throughout most of the upper allows the foot to breathe and stay cool. The dual layer foam cushioning in the heel collar allows for a snug fit. Additional cushioning comes from the anti-bacterial ComforDry Sockliner which also helps keep the feet dry and healthy.

The Asics Evolution 6 is definitely on the heavier side of the spectrum.
